A family-run Indian textile firm was 4 years in business when its traditional sales operation — selling to US importers — hit a crunch 24 months ago. Many importers stopped buying due to the problems brick and mortar retailers are currently facing. The family’s two children went to look for other sales channels, and they landed on US ecommerce as a viable alternative. They had no experience warehousing or fulfilling goods in the US, let alone setting up a corporate sister company/subsidiary in the US. With the help of our team, we registered an office in the US, set up a subsidiary, provided a US bank account for direct transfers from Amazon.com and now, month over month, ecommerce is taking up a larger and larger percentage of the company’s business. The firm is currently looking to expand its operations in the US given its partnership with Stern Corporate Services.
